Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women Chapter To Publish Performance Report Of Their Creative Work

HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) The 27th meeting of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women’s Chapter was held here at the Khana Badosh Writers Café.

Conducting the proceedings of the session Dr. Hussain Musarat, Secretary of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women’s Chapter introduced the Sindhi writers and shed light on their significant literary work in Sindhi literature.

In this series, papers were read on literary works, art and themes of Gali Sada Rangani, Popati Hiranandani, Kala Prakash, Rita Shahani and other writers.

As it was the day of death anniversary of Hiranandani so more views were expressed by Women Intellectuals about the creativity and literary services.

Dr. Parveen Musa Memon read a detailed paper on the art and thought of the writers of Sindh and also presented a critical review of the novel “Unity” written by Gali Sada Rangani.

Zareen Rafiq presented introduction of Sindhi writers and briefly lauded Popti Hiranandani. She said that Popti Hiranandani, whose stories were published before the book “Hayati Ja Sona Rupa Varak” was published, in which she inspired the women of that time with her stories.

She further said that in 1941, Gali Sada Rangani published her novel “Etihad”, while Elsa Qazi translated the English book “Savitri” into Sindhi. Before the partition, male writers also contributed important works in Sindhi literature, including Mirza Qalich Beg, Dayaram Gudumal, Parmanand Mewaram and Maulana Deen Muhammad.

Salma Qadri also talked about the introduction of Sindhi writers and their literary works.

In the meeting, it was decided to publish the performance report of Sindhi Adabi Sangat.

On this occasion, the second birthday cake of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women Chapter was also cut.

Nilofar Bhutto, while delivering the presidential address lauded Secretary Dr. Hussain Musarat and also discussed the importance and usefulness of the topic chosen for the literary session.

Lterary session was attended among others by Dr. Haseen Musarat, Dr.Parveen Moosa Memon, Zarin Rafique. Salma Qadri. Nazeeran Mujadid, Haseena Saand, Rifi, Naseem Jalbani, Najma Panhwar and Nilofar Bhutto.
