LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) The Punjab Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical education has taken an important step towards improving administrative affairs and enhancing efficiency by continuing the transfer of employees who have remained posted at the same place for long periods.
In the latest move on Friday, 16 Grade-17 Office Superintendents serving at various government teaching hospitals and medical institutions have been transferred.
According to official details, the transfers include Office Superintendents serving in government teaching hospitals and institutions in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan and Sahiwal.
Office Superintendents of the University of Child Health Sciences Lahore, Faisalabad Medical University, King Edward Medical University and Nishtar Medical University Multan have also been transferred.
Similarly, transfers have been made at Lahore General Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Shahdara Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Hospital, Lady Willingdon Hospital and De’Montmorency College of Dentistry.
The Office Superintendents of Allied Hospital Faisalabad, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital Sialkot, Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Medical College Rahim Yar Khan, Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Multan and Sahiwal Medical College have also been transferred.
All the transferred officers have been directed to immediately join their new places of posting.
The department stated that the transfers have been made to promote transparency, improve efficiency and further strengthen administrative affairs. It added that more employees who have been serving at the same teaching hospitals and institutions for extended periods will also be transferred as part of the ongoing administrative reforms.
