HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah arrived in Nawabshah on a one-day visit, where he chaired an important meeting at the Commissioner’s Office Shaheed Benazirabad to review the overall situation of the division. The meeting reviewed administrative affairs, provision of basic facilities to public, ongoing development activities, health, education, law and order, revenue matters and other important issues in detail.
Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division Ghulam Qadir Khan Talpur, DIG Police Faisal Bashir Memon, Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Samad Nizamani, Mayor Qazi Muhammad Rasheed Bhatti, SSP Sumair Noor Channa, Additional Commissioner-II Syed Ammar Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saddam Hussain Memon, Assistant Commissioner Nawabshah Iqbal Ahmed Tanio, Assistant Commissioner Daur Muhammad Zakir, Assistant Commissioner Sakrand Rameez Raja and other concerned officers attended the meeting. On the occasion, Commissioner Ghulam Qadir Khan Talpur, DIG Police Faisal Bashir Memon and Mayor Qazi Muhammad Rasheed Bhatti briefed the Chief Secretary Sindh about the performance of various departments, ongoing development projects, public welfare initiatives, provision of municipal services and the law and order situation.
Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah directed officers to prioritize the provision of basic facilities to people and ensure prompt resolution of their problems. He said that the district and divisional administrations should ensure effective implementation of government policies and perform their duties with a spirit of public service. He stressed the need for improving facilities for public in the health and education sectors, enhancing the performance of government institutions and taking effective measures for redressal of public complaints.
Chief Secretary also directed officers to give special attention to revenue matters, protection of government land, removal of encroachments and improvement of revenue records, besides other administrative affairs. He emphasized that officers should remain present in the field, assess public issues firsthand and take practical measures for their resolution.
Later, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah visited Quaid-e-Awam Engineering University, Nawabshah. Upon arrival, he was received by the university administration and was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing academic, research and development activities of the institution. The Chief Secretary visited various departments and inspeced the educational and research facilities as well as other important matters.
He said that engineering and higher education institutions play a vital role in the development of country; therefore, providing students with modern educational facilities and better opportunities for research is the need of the hour. He urged the university administration to focus particularly on modern technology, research and practical training to enhance the academic and technical capabilities of students and enable younger generation to effectively meet future challenges.
Later, Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah also expressed condolences with bereaved families belonging to different communities over the deaths of their loved ones.
