LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has taken administrative measures to further strengthen its enforcement system and enhance the effectiveness of field operations.
The PRA Chairman has transferred 31 Enforcement Officers serving in Lahore on administrative grounds.
PRA spokesperson confirmed to media here Thursday, the transfers are aimed at improving the performance of the Enforcement Wing and further strengthening administrative efficiency. The new postings are expected to enhance the effectiveness, responsiveness and pace of field enforcement operations.
The spokesperson said that performance of field officers is being further strengthened to ensure effective implementation of tax laws.
Action against tax evasion and violations of tax laws will be accelerated and carried out strictly in accordance with the law, without discrimination.
The transfers are also aimed at curbing revenue leakage and expanding the tax base, the spokesperson added. Transparency, merit and effective oversight in field operations remain among the top priorities of the PRA, the spokesperson said.
The performance of field officers will be closely monitored with regard to tax collection, taxpayer registration, return filing and compliance with tax laws. The administrative reshuffling of officers is part of the department’s continued efforts to improve institutional performance and make the enforcement mechanism more effective and results-oriented.
