FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) Faisalabad laboratory has decided to provide technical assistance to university students for various research projects for strengthening academic research and enabling students to benefit from available scientific and laboratory facilities.
The decision was discussed during a meeting between PCRWR District Officer Tajammal Hussain Langrial, Director Riphah University Dr Khalil and former Vice Chancellor Government College University Dr Zubair who visited the PCRWR laboratory in Faisalabad.
During visit, the officials reviewed the laboratory facilities and discussed ways and means to extend technical support to university students engaged in research projects.
PCRWR spokesman said that the interaction focused on facilitating students in conducting their research through access to relevant technical expertise, laboratory facilities and professional guidance.
The participants emphasized the importance of close collaboration between research institutions and universities to provide young researchers practical exposure and improve quality and relevance of academic research.
The officials also discussed possible areas of cooperation through which university students could utilize the technical capabilities of PCRWR for their research projects particularly in the areas related to water resources and allied scientific studies.
This initiative is expected to provide research students an opportunity to gain practical experience and benefit from specialized facilities in addition to promoting strong linkages between academic institutions and scientific research organizations, the spokesman added.
