KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz on Saturday chaired a meeting of district administration officers, including Assistant Commissioners and Additional Assistant Commissioners, to review official performance and assess progress on various indicators of public service delivery.
The meeting discussed administrative matters and progress on public service facilities in detail. The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure prompt resolution of public complaints, improve service delivery and discharge their official responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
Following the directives, Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat Syed Mukhtiar Shah conducted inspections at Nehar Chowk and Kohat board Chowk, where he checked hotels, fruit and vegetable shops, bakeries and other outlets selling essential commodities.
The inspection teams examined official price lists, food quality, hygiene and sanitation arrangements.
Legal action was taken against shopkeepers found violating government price regulations or failing to maintain required cleanliness standards. The district administration said market inspections would continue regularly to ensure the availability of quality food items at notified prices and safeguard public health.
