KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, through the food Department, has launched a subsidized flour scheme in Kohat district to provide quality flour to consumers at affordable rates. Under the initiative, a 20-kilogram bag of government-subsidized flour is being sold for Rs2,520 through 64 approved dealers across the district, the local correspondent of APP reported this from Kohat on Friday, citing official sources.
According to the scheme, consumers can purchase one flour bag at a time by presenting their original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to the authorized dealer.
All designated outlets have been directed to prominently display official banners carrying the message, “Government Flour, 20 kg — Rs2,520,” to ensure transparency and enable consumers to identify approved sale points.
The district administration has also established complaint channels for citizens to report any issues concerning the weight, quality or price of subsidized flour. Consumers can lodge their complaints by contacting 0922-9260032, 0336-9261444 or 0336-0977575.
