KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) Two suspected robbers were killed in an exchange of fire with personnel of the Shaheen Force of Taimuria Police Station near the Meat Market in Samanabad on Wednesday, police said.
According to police, Shaheen Force personnel noticed two men behaving suspiciously in the Buffer Zone area and moved to intercept them. The suspects allegedly attempted to flee but opened fire when they were confronted by the police near the Meat Market in Samanabad.
The police personnel returned fire, and both suspects sustained bullet wounds and died at the scene. Police said two pistols and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession.
Following the encounter, police cordoned off the area and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. The identities of the deceased had not been established immediately and were being determined through biometric verification.
Police said efforts were also under way to determine whether the suspects had any previous criminal record. Investigators were examining the circumstances leading to the encounter and checking the recovered weapons and motorcycle as part of the inquiry.
Police officials said further details would be disclosed after the completion of the investigation and verification of the suspects’ identities and criminal backgrounds.
