PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Communications and Works Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday organized a training workshop for newly appointed Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) posted in various districts of the province.
Secretary Communications & Works Zia-ul-Haq, Parliamentary Secretary for Communications & Works Mian Sharafat Ali, all Chief Engineers of the department, senior officials and engineers attended the workshop.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize the newly appointed officers with departmental affairs, prevailing policies, laws, technical requirements and ongoing development projects.
On the occasion, Secretary Communications, congratulated the newly appointed officers and expressed the hope that the new officers would perform their duties professionally in accordance with the policies of the provincial government, departmental rules and regulations.
He said that the responsibilities of field officers were of utmost importance, and it was essential to ensure the quality, pace, transparency and compliance with prescribed rules in all projects.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to utilizing their professional capabilities to the fullest to ensure effective supervision, high quality, transparency and timely completion of public-interest projects undertaken by the department.
