ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Aug, 2026) Chief Justice of the Federal Sharia Court Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwar has said that the effective use of technology is essential for transitioning to an automated, efficient and responsive justice system that can meet the needs of lawyers, litigants and ordinary citizens.
He expressed these views while inaugurating the newly established e-library at the Federal Sharia Court in Islamabad.
The Chief Justice appreciated the efforts of the officers who played a role in establishing the e-library and stressed the importance of digital literacy in the judiciary.
He said the court has shifted to the e-office system, while a Live Dashboard and e-kiosk have also been introduced to further digitize court affairs.
The Federal Sharia Court is also considering transferring its library collection and other books to its official website in the near future.
It may be mentioned that the e-library provides login access to the Federal Sharia Court, Pakistan Law Site, British Council Library and Fiqh academy Jeddah.
It also provides links to websites related to the Holy Quran and Hadith for accessing legal and Islamic references.
