PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) The district administration of Tank has extended the ban on the sale and transportation of urea fertilizer for another month under Section 144, citing public safety and law-and-order concerns.
According to the district administration on Thursday, the purchase, sale, transportation and storage of urea fertilizer will remain completely banned from August 27 to September 25.
The notification stated that the ban applies to dealers, traders, transporters and all others involved in the fertilizer business.
The administration said the measure was taken to prevent the illegal use of fertilizer and address security concerns.
The notification further warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found violating the order.
