MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Aug, 2026) In a bid to curb gas theft and illegal activities, the Unaccounted For Gas (UFG) control task force of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) intensified its ongoing campaign and disconnected five more gas meters in various areas of the city on Sunday.
According to details, the task force recovered two gas meters that had been illegally removed by consumers.
During the crackdown, one meter was disconnected for unauthorized commercial use, while two other meters were removed from premises where compressors were being utilized to draw gas illegally.
As part of the operation, SNGPL field teams conducted door-to-door checking of 65 domestic consumers across the locality to inspect gas connections and detect service violations.
Company officials stated that these rigorous measures are part of SNGPL’s firm commitment to combating gas theft, reducing unaccounted-for gas losses, and ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality gas supply for all legitimate consumers.
