LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) The Specialized Healthcare and Medical education (SH&ME) Department has taken an important step to improve office affairs by transferring 26 employees who had been posted at the same place for a long time.
According to a spokesperson for the SH&ME Department on Thursday, 26 employees of various government teaching hospitals and institutions have been transferred with immediate effect. The transferred employees include Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent, Head Nurse and Charge Nurse, along with Pharmacy Technician, Chief Technician Pharmacy, Head Clerk, Dispenser, Computer Operator and Accountant.
The transfers cover employees of various government teaching hospitals in Lahore, Rawalpindi and D.G. Khan. Employees of Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore, Postgraduate Medical College Lahore and Mayo Hospital Lahore have also been transferred, along with staff of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, General Hospital, Lady Willingdon Hospital and the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, all in Lahore.
Employees of Holy Family Hospital and Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi have also been transferred, as have employees of Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan.
All the transferred employees have been directed to join their new postings immediately. The department said the transfers were made to ensure transparency, efficiency and administrative improvement in office affairs, adding that more employees who have been posted in teaching hospitals for a long time will also be transferred in the coming days.
