SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora visited Sialkot
and distributed scholarship checks among 81 students belonging to minorities.

Addressing the ceremony, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that it is the vision of Punjab
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to guide the youth on the path of development.
He stressed that the nation can be served effectively only through constructive thinking, positive attitudes and responsible behavior.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased the budget of the Minority Affairs Department from Rs 500 million to Rs 16 billion. He said that for the first time in Punjab, 1,00,000 families belonging to minorities have been provided with minority cards and these families will be lifted out of poverty through skills, education and financial support.
MPA Ch Tariq Subhani said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has done more than her promises for minorities.
