KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Aug, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government and Higher education, Meena Khan Afridi, along with Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, inaugurated the Urban Plantation Campaign in Kohat on Friday by planting a pine sapling under the auspices of the Urban Area Development Authority (UADA).
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Provincial Assembly Member and Chairman DEDAC Kohat Daud Shah Afridi, Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, Chief Executive Officer WSSC, senior government officials, business community members, and local elders.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to join hands for environmental protection, urban afforestation, and the fulfillment of the provincial government’s vision for a “Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”
