ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Sep, 2026) Coordinator to Prime Minister on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ikhtiar Wali Khan on Thursday said political parties’ support would be necessary to hold a meaningful debate on the creation of new provinces.
Speaking to a private television channel, he said the establishment of new provinces could help improve governance and ensure better delivery of public services.
He said there was a need to further improve governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that administrative reforms could contribute to addressing challenges faced by the province.
Commenting on the protest call given by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said people would not participate in the party’s planned protest march.
