SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) Chairman Zeshan Tariq, along with his executive members, held an interactive meeting with probationary officers of the Commerce and Trade Group during their study tour to Sialkot.
The visiting officers were accompanied by officials from the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
During the meeting, the SIMAP representatives provided the officers with a detailed overview of Sialkot’s surgical instruments industry, highlighting its significant export potential and contribution to the country’s economy. They also briefed the participants about the major challenges confronting the sector and the issues affecting its growth and competitiveness in international markets.
The interactive session was followed by a detailed discussion, enabling the visiting officers to gain practical insights into the working of the surgical industry, its export-oriented operations and possible areas for improvement.
The meeting provided an opportunity for meaningful exchange between industry representatives and government officers, with discussions focusing on strengthening the sector, addressing challenges and exploring avenues for further enhancing the international competitiveness of Sialkot’s surgical instruments industry.
