MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Usman Akram Gondal has declared corruption, misappropriation of case property and misuse of authority as unforgivable offences, warning that strict departmental action would be taken against officials found involved in such practices without any discrimination.
Addressing a police orderly room proceeding at the Regional Police Office Multan, the RPO said decisions on appeals filed by police officers and officials were being made strictly on merit after considering their previous service record and available evidence.
During the hearing, appeals against dismissal of police personnel accused of corruption and misappropriation of case property were rejected. The appeals of Constables Asad Bashir and Mahmood Khan of Khanewal district, and Constables Mohis Sohail, Shabbir Hussain and Mohsin Akbar of Multan district, against their dismissal were dismissed.
Gondal directed the relevant authorities to ensure timely registration of cases, stressing that there was no room for corruption or dishonesty in the police department. He said stern action would be taken against elements involved in corrupt practices.
Meanwhile, driver Constable Muhammad Sarwar, posted at the Regional Police Office Multan, retired from service upon completion of his tenure.
On the RPO’s directives, DSP Azhar Gilani, Assistant Director Mian Abdul Rahim Lang and ADIG Muhammad Naeem presented a bouquet to the retiring official and accorded him a warm farewell with full protocol.
RPO Usman Akram Gondal appreciated Constable Muhammad Sarwar’s services to the police department and conveyed his best wishes for his post-retirement life.
