PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary education Department has ordered the reposting of teachers recruited against Union Council-based posts to their respective Union Councils across the province.
Under the directive, District Education Officers (Male and Female) have been asked to examine the postings of all teachers recruited on a Union Council basis and ensure their return to the areas for which they were originally appointed.
The department said the decision was in line with the relevant recruitment policy and appointment rules applicable at the time of hiring.
Teachers currently posted under the government’s Wedlock/Spouse Policy, however, have been exempted from the directive and will not be affected by the reposting order.
The concerned DEOs have been directed to complete the exercise within 15 days and submit detailed compliance reports to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.
The Director EMIS has also been instructed to upload the circular on the department’s website for information of all concerned.
