KOHAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal on Friday continued daily open courts to provide citizens direct access to police authorities and ensure prompt resolution of their grievances. During the sessions, the DPO personally hears complaints and issues on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers, stressing merit-based decisions, transparency and courteous treatment of the public.
On this occasion, SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal directed police officials to respond to public complaints promptly and effectively, reiterating that justice, transparency and protection of citizens’ rights remain key priorities of Kohat police.
Meanwhile, Kohat police arrested several suspects during separate operations against criminal elements. Bilitang Police, acting on a complaint about an armed robbery targeting a flying coach driver and passengers, arrested Sahib Noor of Juwaki and recovered four mobile phones and stolen cash.
SHO Ayaz Khan, along with ASI Farman Khan and his team, traced the suspect, while raids were under way to arrest his accomplices.
In a separate operation, Jarma Police arrested Mansoor and Lal Taj while allegedly involved in aerial firing and recovered weapons from their possession. Police also apprehended Aftab, a suspect wanted in a narcotics case, and seized arms from him.
The DPO reiterated that strict and indiscriminate action against aerial firing, narcotics and other criminal activities would continue across the district. He said the protection of life and property of citizens was the foremost priority of Kohat police, adding that operations against lawbreakers would be further intensified to maintain peace and security.
