MIRPURKHAS, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Aug, 2026) Under the auspices of the sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, a grand Shooting Ball Tournament was organized at the Shooting Ball Ground of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Sports Complex, Mirpurkhas, as part of the Independence Day 2026 celebrations.
Teams from various clubs participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit.The chief guests of the tournament were District Sports Officer Mirpurkhas Washdev Malhi, Shah Mardan Mari and Saleem Baloch.
A total of six teams took part, including Lashari Club Mirpurkhas, Sawan Dasti, Kapri Mori, Muhammad Hassan Mari, Qurban Theba Club and Friends Club.
The first match was played between Lashari Club and Sawan Dasti, with Sawan Dasti securing a thrilling 20-18 victory.
In the second match, Kapri Mori faced Friends Club and won convincingly by 20-10. The third match was played between Muhammad Hassan Mari and Qurban Theba Club, where Muhammad Hassan Mari emerged victorious with a score of 10-8.
The final was played between Sawan Dasti and Kapri Mori. Both teams put up an impressive and thrilling contest; however, Kapri Mori displayed outstanding performance and won the final 25-18, earning the title of tournament champions.
At the closing ceremony, chief guests Washdev Malhi, Shah Mardan Mari and Saleem Baloch presented the trophy to the winning team, Kapri Mori, and distributed prizes among players who demonstrated outstanding performances.
