LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Aug, 2026) Inspector General of Police Abdul Karim late on Thursday visited Shaikh Zayed Hospital along with senior police officers and met police personnel injured in firing by suspected assailants.
The IG inquired about the health of the injured officials, prayed for their early recovery and encouraged them for displaying courage while performing their duties.
Abdul Karim also directed the authorities concerned to ensure the provision of the best possible medical treatment and facilities to the injured police personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said he was proud of the police personnel who took bullets on their chests to protect the lives and property of citizens.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Constables Shafiq and Shaban are among the injured police personnel currently receiving treatment at Shaikh Zayed Hospital.
