MURREE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi chaired a meeting of the District Polio Eradication Committee (DPEC) on Friday to finalise operational strategies, vaccination targets and third-party validation arrangements for the upcoming Sub-National Immunisation Day (SNID) campaign.
The meeting reviewed detailed micro-planning for the campaign, including arrangements for children missed during vaccination, tracking of mobile populations and mechanisms to ensure effective coverage across the district.
Chief Executive Officer of the Health & Population Department Murree briefed the committee on field-level planning and strategies to address non-attended children, while officials also discussed measures for monitoring population movement in the hilly district.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for close coordination among all relevant departments to ensure field teams remained fully prepared and every eligible child was reached during the campaign.
He directed the concerned officials to strengthen inter-departmental cooperation, improve monitoring mechanisms and ensure comprehensive vaccination coverage, particularly in remote and difficult-to-access areas of Murree.
