Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) District Education Officer (Male) Syed Tahir Shah Kakakhel, along with Sub-Divisional Education Officer (Male) Dr Abdul Hafeez Joyia and School Leader Muhammad Zubair Gullo, visited various primary and middle schools in the Kacha areas to review the ongoing enrollment campaign for 2026-27.
During the visit, newly enrolled children were admitted to schools on the spot, while books and school bags were also distributed among students.
The DEO directed teachers to intensify the enrollment campaign as schools had formally reopened, stressing that door-to-door outreach was an effective way to bring out-of-school children into the education system.
He also emphasized transparent and effective utilization of Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) funds, directing that available resources be utilized to improve educational facilities and promote the welfare of students.
The visiting officers also reviewed the overall educational environment, student attendance, enrollment activities and other matters at the institutions.
The schools visited included Government Primary Schools Jhok Bilal, Dhap Chabak, Jhok Dar, Jhok Ameer, Jhok Yaseen, Jhok Mohana No.1, Jhok Mohana No.2, Kachi Paind Khan and Thatha, besides Government Middle Schools Jhok Mohana and Kachi Paind Khan.
The visit reaffirmed the education department’s commitment to expanding access to education and ensuring the success of the enrollment campaign in remote Kacha areas.
