RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on the third day of the ongoing anti-polio campaign and reviewed the progress and coverage achieved across the district.
According to the campaign report, 594,259 children had been covered in Rawalpindi district by the third day, achieving 77 per cent of the target.
The report said 111,407 children were identified as missed on the third day, of whom 45,648 had subsequently been covered.
Field teams were continuing efforts to reach the remaining 65,759 children.
It further said that 115,573 children who were found outside their homes during the campaign had also been administered the polio vaccine.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Implementation) Abdul Rehman Khan, representatives of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Chief Executive Officer (Health), District Health Officer and area in-charges.
