RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi held a meeting here on Friday to review ongoing development projects at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
The meeting reviewed the progress of various development and construction projects underway across Murree.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the relevant departments to ensure quality and transparency in all ongoing schemes and make timely use of allocated funds so that the projects could be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He said timely completion of development schemes was essential to provide better facilities to both tourists and the local population. During the meeting, matters relating to building control were also discussed.
Sherazi directed the authorities to take indiscriminate action against illegal construction and encroachments to protect Murree’s scenic beauty and natural environment. He further stressed strict enforcement of building bylaws and called for legal action against those found violating the regulations.
The meeting also reviewed the recovery of outstanding dues and fees owed to the Municipal Corporation Murree. The deputy commissioner instructed the concerned staff to accelerate the recovery process and achieve the assigned targets at the earliest.
He said improving the municipal corporation’s financial position would help ensure better civic and municipal services for residents.
