RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) In a major step towards departmental accountability, City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has suspended two station house officers (SHOs) following serious allegations of corruption, misconduct and patronage of illegal activities.
According to police spokesperson, the SHOs of R.A. Bazaar and Chaklala police stations have been suspended, placed on the “close line,” and issued charge sheets over the allegations.
The officers are also accused of allegedly patronising and facilitating illegal activities, prompting departmental action against them.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that corruption and abuse of authority would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He further stated that elements found involved in corrupt practices would not be allowed to remain in positions of responsibility.
The CPO reiterated that strict departmental accountability would continue against police officials found involved in corruption, misconduct or misuse of authority.
