Commissioner Reviews Progress Of ADP Development Projects

BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Irfan Ali Kathia chaired a video-link meeting here to review the progress of ongoing development projects being implemented under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) across the division.

During the meeting, the participants comprehensively reviewed the implementation status, pace of execution, and quality of the development schemes in all three districts. The concerned officials briefed the commissioner on the overall progress of the ongoing projects.

According to the briefing, as many as 242 development schemes are currently underway in the Bahawalpur division. A total allocation of Rs 135.859 billion has been made by the government for these mega public welfare projects.

Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed all concerned departments to ensure that the development schemes are completed within the stipulated time frame.

He strictly stressed that no compromise should be made on the standard and quality of the construction work.

He said that the timely completion of these development projects would help provide better public services and modern infrastructure to the masses, adding that the pace of work should be further accelerated to achieve the targets.

The commissioner also instructed the administrative officers to conduct regular field visits to strictly monitor the progress and quality of the ongoing projects.

He emphasized that any obstacles hindering the implementation of the projects should be identified immediately and resolved promptly through close coordination with the concerned departments to ensure the successful completion of all development schemes.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of all three districts of the Bahawalpur division, along with officers from the relevant government departments.
