CDA Seals 8 Buildings In Islamabad Over Fire Safety Violations

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Aug, 2026) The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Sunday, launched a strict crackdown against violations of fire safety regulations in Islamabad on the instructions of the Federal government, sealing eight buildings for failing to comply with required safety standards.

According to a press released, the buildings sealed by the CDA include Shaheed-e-Millat Secretariat, State Life Building, TDAP Building, Beverly Center, NIC Building, Crown Plaza, Khuddada Heights Plaza and Innoy Continental Hotel.

The action was taken following inspections aimed at ensuring compliance with fire and life safety requirements. The inspections include checking firefighting equipment, emergency exits, evacuation arrangements and other essential safety measures.

The CDA has expanded fire safety inspections across the city and directed building owners and managements to immediately complete all necessary fire safety arrangements.

The authority warned that strict legal action would be taken against buildings that continue to violate fire safety rules.
