ATTOCK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Sep, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Services) Anil Saeed on Friday chaired a meeting at the Municipal Committee Hall to review measures for prevention and control of dengue in the district. Heads and representatives of various departments, including the Chief Executive Officer (Health), Chief Officer Municipal Committee and officials of the Municipal Committee and other concerned departments, attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed ongoing dengue surveillance, preventive measures, control activities and the performance of relevant departments.
Addressing the participants, ADC Anil Saeed directed all concerned departments to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, seriousness and effectiveness in accordance with the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab. He stressed that dengue was an important public health challenge and called for close coordination among all institutions under an integrated strategy.
On this occasion, the ADC emphasized the need to further strengthen timely surveillance for dengue larvae, cleanliness and sanitation drives, preventive operations and public awareness campaigns across the district. He also warned that negligence or dereliction of duty would not be tolerated and directed the departments to complete assigned activities within the stipulated timeframe.
He further ordered effective field monitoring to ensure timely identification and elimination of potential dengue breeding sites and threats. Anil Saeed urged all officers to strictly follow the Punjab government’s directives and make concerted efforts to prevent the spread of dengue and safeguard the lives and well-being of citizens.
