Allotment Letters Distributed Under Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Program In Khanewal

KHANEWAL, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Aug, 2026) A ceremony for the distribution of allotment letters to landless rural residents was held in district Khanewal under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s flagship “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” Programme.

The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad.The event was attended by MNA Muhammad Khan Daha, MPA Amir Hayat Hiraj, Rana Babar Hussain (Representative of the MPA), Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Fazal Abbas and Assistant Commissioners.

On the occasion, it was announced that approximately 200 landless rural individuals from District Khanewal had been selected for land allotment. Successful applicants were being provided with 3 to 5 acres of government agricultural land on a 20-year lease at a nominal annual rent of Rs. 100 per acre. In addition, a development grant of Rs. 50,000 per acre was being provided for land rehabilitation and cultivation.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad said that the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” Programme was a significant initiative aimed at making unemployed rural residents economically self-reliant. She added that providing agricultural land to deserving beneficiaries would help secure their economic future while strengthening the rural economy.

MNA Muhammad Khan Daha said that the Chief Minister’s flagship programme would prove to be a milestone in promoting agricultural development, rural prosperity, and farmers’ welfare. He described the initiative as a beacon of hope for landless farmers and a major step towards strengthening the rural economy.

MPA Amir Hayat Hiraj said that the programme had provided unemployed individuals with new hope for dignified livelihoods and a brighter future, adding that the Government of Punjab remained committed to rural development and the advancement of the agricultural sector.
