SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th Aug, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services (ADCMS) and Managing Director(MD) Suthra Punjab Agency Sargodha,Muhammad Atif Sandhu on Monday conducted surprise inspections of various areas of Sargodha Tehsil to review sanitation operations,workers’ attendance,door-to-door waste collection,drain desilting, machinery deployment and overall cleanliness.
According to the official spokesperson,during visits to Union Councils 78 and 79 and Ladiwala, the ADCMS expressed serious displeasure over poor sanitation,inadequate field monitoring and the use of unauthorized machinery.
He made it clear that negligence in sanitation operations,violation of the designated beat system and failure to comply with machinery specifications would not be tolerated.
The officer personally checked the attendance of sanitation workers and found one of the 40 workers absent.
He also took notice of failure to carry out drain desilting, poor cleanliness around a school and incomplete cleaning of streets.
The ADCMS directed action against the concerned Assistant Manager and Field Monitoring Officers for ineffective field monitoring.
He said officers and officials failing to discharge their responsibilities would face strict action,adding that practical performance in the field,rather than paperwork and reports was required.
During direct interaction with sanitation workers,the ADCMS was informed that some workers were receiving Rs.36,600 instead of the prescribed salary of Rs.40,000.
Taking serious notice of the complaint,he directed issuance of a notice to the concerned contractor and stressed that no deduction from workers’ salaries would be tolerated.
He also ordered the authorities to obtain complete and authentic bank records showing salary transfers to workers’ accounts,making it clear that only bank-verified records would be accepted.
He directed that the full prescribed salary be transferred directly into each worker’s own bank account.
During his visit to the Jhal Chakiyan waste enclosure,Muhammad Atif Sandhu inspected the ongoing construction of a new boundary wall and its green painting work.
He also visited an open plot in Hyderabad Town and directed the relevant staff to ensure its immediate and complete cleanliness.
He further directed that indiscriminate action be taken against officers, officials and contractors found responsible for negligence or violations.
