ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced its complete disassociation from the interfaith conference scheduled to be held here at a local hotel on Tuesday (September 1).
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the ministry has no involvement in or support for organizing the conference.
No representative of the Ministry of Religious Affairs is attending the event, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson stated that it was unauthorized and misleading to give the impression of the ministry’s involvement or official sponsorship of the conference.
The concerned quarters have been informed that the conference should not be considered a representative activity of the ministry or the Government of Pakistan, the spokesperson said.
The ministry also reserved the right to take legal action in case of unauthorized use of its name, official identity or affiliation.
The spokesperson further said that respect for the religious identity and beliefs of the historical and mainstream Christian community is part of the government’s policy.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony also respects the concerns received from Pakistani Christian religious leaders, the spokesperson for Religious Affairs said.
