All 16 Candidates Elected Unopposed In FWCCI Elections

FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) The electoral contest of Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) for 2026-28 has ended before it could begin as all 16 candidates were declared elected unopposed after their nomination papers were found valid during scrutiny.

According to the Election Commission, the nomination papers submitted by all 16 candidates were declared valid, resulting in the unopposed election of eight candidates from Corporate Class and eight from Associate Class.

Election Commission members Tasgheera Tajammul, Zeb-un-Nisa and Sunaila Sharif said that the entire electoral process had been completed in accordance with the announced schedule. They said that the number of candidates was exactly equal to the number of available seats in both classes; therefore, there would be no contest on any seat and no polling would be required.

The newly elected members will represent the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the next two years from 2026 to 2028.

The Election Commission said that completion of the scrutiny process had formally paved way for new body to take forward FWCCI activities and represent the collective interests of women entrepreneurs and business community of Faisalabad.

The unopposed election also reflected consensus among the participating candidates regarding composition of the chamber’s new governing body, enabling it to begin its two-year term without a contested polling process.
