ACE Open Court In Attock Flooded With Complaints Against Land Record Centre, Patwaris

ATTOCK, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister and instructions of Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab Sohail Zafar Chattha, Deputy Director ACE Rawalpindi Region Sheikh Nasir Mahmood held an open court at the ACE office in Attock.

Citizens submitted numerous complaints against the Attock Land Record Centre and patwaris.Complainants alleged that even legitimate work at the Land Record Centre could not be completed without paying bribes. They claimed that those who refused to pay were given excuses and made to visit the office repeatedly to compel them to pay illegal gratification.Citizens further alleged that the official fee for obtaining a Fard was approximately Rs800, but they were being charged nearly four times the prescribed amount.

When questioned, staff allegedly told them “we have to pay money up the line.”

Taking immediate notice, Sheikh Nasir Mahmood directed concerned officials to rectify their conduct, resolve citizens’ property matters efficiently and ensure complete justice to complainants.He warned that any Revenue Department official who failed to cooperate with the public or created hurdles in lawful work would face strict legal action. He said negligence, unnecessary delays and corruption would not be tolerated.
