CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Monday paid a detailed visit to General Bus Stand Chiniot to review facilities for passengers, cleanliness, beautification and other arrangements.Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Muhammad Arif and other concerned officers accompanied her during the inspection.
The DC reviewed the availability of clean drinking water, cleanliness of washrooms, lighting in waiting rooms, functioning of air conditioners, seating arrangements and other basic amenities. She also checked cleanliness in waiting areas and public spaces.Directing officials to make the cleaning system more effective, she said providing a clean and comfortable environment to passengers was the responsibility of the district administration and no negligence would be tolerated.
Ayesha Rizwan also inspected ongoing beautification work at the bus stand and reviewed renovation and improvement at various points.
She directed that beautification works be completed as per prescribed standards, while entrance and exit routes, waiting areas and other prominent places be further improved.She instructed concerned officers to utilize all available resources for passenger convenience, immediately repair damaged or non-functional facilities, and ensure regular monitoring of washrooms, drinking water, lighting, air conditioners and seating.
The Deputy Commissioner said providing the best travel facilities and a clean environment to citizens was among the administration’s top priorities, and all departments should work in coordination to improve standards of cleanliness, facilities and beautification at the General Bus Stand.
