CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Aug, 2026) Prominent businessman, industrialist and social and political activist Sheikh Qaiser Mahmood Chiniot on Sunday said Pakistan is moving in the right direction towards development and stability, but certain anti-national and vested interests are attempting to create unrest and disrupt the country’s progress.
Talking to the media, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had taken extensive measures to stabilize the national economy and control inflation, which, he claimed, had also helped restore Pakistan’s confidence and standing at the international level. He said the government was taking serious steps to promote Chiniot’s renowned industrial sector, facilitate the local business community and strengthen agriculture to provide direct relief to the people.
Sheikh Qaiser Mahmood said those pursuing politics of confrontation, protests and chaos were, in fact, hindering Pakistan’s economic prosperity and self-reliance. He said the country needed political stability and continuity of development policies rather than disruptive politics.
He said history showed that the PML-N had consistently focused on infrastructure development and public-oriented projects, including motorways and power initiatives. Despite challenges and what he described as negative tactics and conspiracies by anti-national elements, he said the development process would continue and Pakistan would be taken towards greater prosperity and progress in line with the vision of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the government.
