MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) A revenue officer (Patwari) was arrested for allegedly taking a bribe from a citizen.
According to an official of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Patwari Shakeel Akhtar allegedly demanded and received Rs19,200 from the complainant in connection with the correction of his land record.
Acting on the complaint, the ACE officials conducted a raid and caught the Patwari during the alleged transaction. The team recovered the marked Currency notes from his possession, which were reportedly used as evidence of the alleged bribery.
The accused was taken into custody and lodged in the lock-up. The ACE officials started further investigation into the matter, while legal proceedings against the accused were also underway.
