CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chiniot Police is taking continuous measures to strengthen community policing and improve public service delivery, with DPO Chiniot Dr. Naveed Atif holding an open court at Jamia Masjid Umar Farooq, Bhuwana, after Friday prayers. DSP Bhuwana Circle Muhammad Saleem, SHO Bhuwana Inspector Asadullah, Incharge Complaint Cell and other police officers were also present. During the open court, the DPO directly listened to citizens’ complaints and assured them of their prompt resolution, besides briefing participants about people-friendly police services and measures being taken to improve service delivery.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Naveed Atif said holding an open court at a mosque was aimed at reaching out to citizens at their doorstep, listening to their concerns and taking practical measures for their resolution. He said that listening to people’s problems at the mosque was in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), adding that all available resources would be utilized to facilitate citizens and resolve their genuine grievances.
The DPO said Chiniot Police was committed to maintaining close contact with the community and ensuring that citizens received timely and effective assistance. He directed the concerned officers to take immediate action on the complaints presented during the open court and ensure that the public was not subjected to unnecessary inconvenience in police-related matters.
Dr. Naveed Atif also urged citizens to extend their cooperation to the police in combating crime, social and moral evils and anti-social elements. He said effective policing could only be achieved through close cooperation between the police and the community, adding that collective efforts were essential for maintaining peace, security and a safe environment for the people of Chiniot.
