ABBOTTABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) More rainfall accompanied by strong winds, dust storms and thunderstorms is expected in Abbottabad from August 31 to September 5, according to the Meteorological Department.
In view of the forecast, the District Administration Abbottabad has directed all relevant departments to remain on high alert and ensure necessary precautionary measures to deal with any weather-related emergency.
The administration said monitoring of vulnerable points was under way, while cleaning of drains and removal of encroachments were also being carried out to minimise the risk of urban flooding and other hazards during heavy rainfall.
The district administration has urged citizens, tourists and travellers to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather and remain updated on the latest weather conditions.
The public has also been advised to contact the District Control Room at 0992-9310553 immediately in case of any emergency.
