Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) The district administration has cleared encroachments on New Sabzi Mandi Road in Dera Ismail Khan to ease traffic congestion and facilitate school students and commuters.
The operation was carried out on the directives of Assistant Commissioner Dera Dr Hamid Siddiq and supervised by Girdawar Circle Dera Ikram Baloch, with TMA staff and traffic police participating.
During the operation, illegal encroachments, temporary stalls, goods placed outside shops and other obstacles hindering traffic flow were removed from the roadside.
Ikram Baloch said ensuring smooth traffic flow and keeping public roads and passageways free from encroachments were among the administration’s priorities. He warned that legal action would be taken against those found re-establishing encroachments.
The operation restored traffic flow on the road, while citizens appreciated the administration’s action and urged continued enforcement against encroachments.
