DERA GHAZI KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) An accused involved in theft and dacoity cases was arrested in injured condition after an encounter with police in the city, police said on Friday.
Police received information that accused Ramzan alias Gagga and accomplices were present near Damra Chowki with intention to rob people of their valuables.
Police party reached the site and upon noticing their presence, accused opened fire at them. Police retaliated while taking cover and adopted a strategy that resulted in the arrest of the accused.
The accused, upon arrest, was found injured by the firing of his own accomplices. His accomplices managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness.
Police also recovered a motorcycle and weapons from the accused.
Meanwhile, police teams have been sent to arrest the accomplices of the accused.
