HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Shaheed Benazirabad (SBBU-SBA) continues its journey of success, achieving significant milestones in the fields of higher education and research.
Through the personal efforts of Vice Chancellor, Engineer Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah, the Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC) h granted approval for six Master’s and six PhD programmes at the University.
The approved Master’s programmes include MS English Linguistics, MS Computer Science, MS Media and Communication Studies, MPhil Economics, MPhil Sindhi Language and Literature, and Ms Information Technology.
The approved PhD programmes include PhD Genetics, PhD Information Technology, PhD Sindhi Language and Literature, PhD Management Sciences, PhD Economics, and PhD Chemistry. On the occasion of this significant achievement, Vice Chancellor Engineer Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah, while addressing the University’s faculty, students and administrative staff, said that this achievement was the result of teamwork, hard work, dedication, mutual coordination and a shared commitment to academic excellence.
He said that the University’s educational and research journey, established in accordance with the great mission and vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, would be further strengthened and advanced. The approval of the new Master’s and PhD programmes would provide students with greater opportunities for higher education and research, thereby further enhancing the University’s academic, research and scholarly profile. Vice Chancellor said that the University’s objective was not merely to provide higher education, but also to develop talented, capable and research-oriented young people who could excel in their respective fields at national and international levels and bring pride to the University, Sindh and Pakistan. He added that the University’s journey of development and success would continue through collective efforts, dedication and teamwork, and that every possible effort would be made to introduce further academic and research programmes in the future.
