HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th Aug, 2026) Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam on Friday organized a training course on Youth Leadership and Management Skills to equip students with leadership, decision-making and management capabilities essential for their academic, professional and social careers.
The training course was organized by the department of agricultural education, extension and short courses, faculty of agricultural social sciences, with a focus on developing leadership potential among young graduates and preparing them to respond effectively to emerging challenges in agriculture and society.
Speaking on the occasion, dean faculty of agricultural social sciences Prof Dr Aijaz Ali Khooharo said the youth represented the most important resource for the future development of the country.
He stressed that graduates needed strong leadership qualities, sound decision-making skills, innovative thinking and a sense of responsibility to contribute effectively to agriculture and society.
Chairman department of agricultural education, extension and short courses Prof Dr Zaheer uddin Mirani said young people were the future leaders and their capacity building was essential for sustainable development.
As keynote speaker Prof Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar highlighted the importance of visionary leadership, self-confidence, discipline, strategic planning, effective communication and teamwork in shaping successful leaders.
Dr Kumbhar encouraged students to move beyond academic learning and actively participate in professional, social and community development activities. He said leadership was not simply a position or title, but the ability to take responsibility, inspire others, make informed decisions and work towards achieving meaningful goals.
A large number of students from the faculty of agricultural social sciences participated in the training. The course featured interactive discussions, practical exercises and group activities designed to strengthen students’ leadership, communication, teamwork and management capabilities.
At the concluding ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants in recognition of their active participation and commitment to the training.
