Burewala Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi With Religious Fervour

BUREWALA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated in Burewala with religious fervour and devotion on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, as thousands of devotees participated in a central procession taken out from Jamia Masjid Akbar in Ghala Mandi.

The procession was led by renowned religious scholar Maulana Syed Muhammad Mahmood-ul-Haq Shah and passed through various parts of the city before returning to its starting point, where it concluded peacefully. Assistant Commissioner Burewala Jawad Hussain Malik, DSP Rana Imran Tipu, former MPA Sardar Khalid Mahmood Dogar, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Imtiaz Ahmed Joiya, Municipal Engineer Hafiz Waseem Ahmed, Municipal Officer Regulation Malik Ghulam Jillani, Superintendent Majid Yousaf Bhatti, General Secretary Burewala Bar Ali Javed Gujjar, representatives of the Central Anjuman-e-Tajiran, journalists and a large number of political and social figures attended the procession. Police made strict security arrangements to ensure the safety of participants.

People from surrounding areas also joined the procession in large numbers, travelling on tractor-trolleys, motorcycles and rickshaws and in groups.

The atmosphere remained charged with religious devotion as participants recited Durood-o-Salam and raised slogans in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while religious scholars highlighted various aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH). Langar was also distributed at several locations across the city.

Mosques, homes, educational institutions, markets, shops, vehicles and roads were decorated with colourful flags and lights, while special Milad gatherings were held at mosques where prayers were offered for the peace, prosperity and security of the country.

The Press Club Burewala also warmly welcomed the central procession on College Road, with its office-bearers and members receiving the participants. Syed Muhammad Izhar-ul-Haq Shah led a special prayer on the occasion.
