FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Aug, 2026) The district police have devised a foolproof security plan for August 14 ‘Independence Day’ by deploying more than 3,000 police personnel including officers.
According to a security plan issued here Thursday, on the instructions of CPO Tanveer Hussain, 3000 policemen including 1 SP, 5 DSPs, 13 Inspectors, 9 Sub-Inspectors, 282 Assistant Sub-Inspectors will perform duty on the day. The reserve police and volunteers will also perform duties.
As many as 205 special checkpoints have also been set up across the district while special personnel have also been deployed at 16 public parks on ‘Independence Day’.
The teams of mobile patrol of police stations, elite commandos and special squads of dolphin force will also patrol across the district.
He said that strict legal action will also be taken against wheelie-doers and workshops that manufacture motorcycles for the purpose.
Special squads have also been deployed to prevent aerial firing and fireworks.
The spokesperson said that effective crackdown would be carried out against law-breaking elements on the occasion of Independence Day.
